This body of believers is governed by a Board of Elders, including the Pastor. We believe this to be the style of leadership described in the Bible. The elders are responsible for the oversight of the congregation and its ministries. They are the only decision-making board in the church and are accountable to each other, to God and to the congregation.

The process of choosing elders and their appointment is described in detail in the by-laws of our church. The various gifts each elder brings to the board are a benefit in the governing of the body. The elders seek to work together as a close-knit team. Through mutual love and respect, the elders make decisions by unanimous consensus.

The appointment of other leaders and officers in the church is done by the elders. The guidelines for these are also found in the church by-laws.
